Hallel – Israel Choral Organization

Hallel – Israel Choral Organization (ISCO) was founded in 1998 by choral singers, conductors, and choir managers to promote choral music in Israel in all its aspects. Hallel views choral singing as a central part of Israeli culture and musical education.

The goal of ISCO is to serve as one address for all facets of choral activities in Israel.  Hallel initiates and produces a range of musical activities, including: multi-participant conventions; educational/experiential workshops; and seminars for choral conductors. These activities are directed to contribute to the professional development of choirs, choral singers, and conductors and to foster cooperation between various musical organizations. In addition, Hallel serves to enrich the Israeli choral repertoire and to disseminate it to choirs both locally and throughout the world and has commissioned new compositions for choir by Israeli composers.

ISCO represents Israeli choirs throughout the world in close contact with and supported by the Israeli Ministry of Culture. In addition, Hallel is a member in international choir organizations.

We invite you to join us and to join the Israeli choral scene!
